Student Investment Fund Scholarship

The Student Investment Fund Scholarship was established in 2014. The Student Investment Fund (SIF) was founded in 1974 at CMC. The SIF gives qualified students an opportunity both to learn through experience the basics of investment management and simultaneously to create value for the College’s endowment. Managed by student executives, in partnership with a CMC faculty advisor and the College’s Investment Office, the SIF aims to earn risk-adjusted excess returns above the benchmark index. The primary objective of the SIF is to prepare student participants for successful careers in investment related fields. Donor contributions to the SIF will be commingled with prior donations to the fund and managed primarily by student executives. A faculty advisor and the College’s Chief Investment Officer will provide oversight.
