Raymond Remy '59

Raymond “Ray” Remy was a CMC alumnus from the class of 1959 who studied political science. He earned an MPA from the University of California, Berkeley in 1963. Ray’s career was in various forms of government service, including deputy mayor of Los Angeles. Ray served on the CMC Board of Trustees from 1987 to 2019. He was the student body president and received the John P. Faranda ‘79 Student Service Award from the CMC Alumni Association and the Excellence in Public Service Award from the Rose Institute. Ray was the recipient of the Alumni Association’s highest honor, the George C. S. Benson Distinguished Achievement Award, in 2009. Ray is survived by his wife, Sandra.
