John E. Allen Alumni Merit Award

This award was originally established in 1991 by CMC alumni Rossi A. Russell ’71 and John E. Allen ’73. In 2001, it was renamed the John E. Allen Alumni Merit Award, to recognize John as Claremont McKenna Alumni Association’s first Black president and in recognition of his role in helping to establish, promote, and fund this award.
